Mu Fu’s lips curved into a soft smile, her slightly flushed cheeks glowing under the sunlight. “So, where are you taking me?” she asked.

Chen Han, hands steady on the wheel, replied smoothly, “The amusement park.”

The same place as last time. But Mu Fu wasn’t disappointed. On the contrary, she felt a spark of excitement—it had been ages since she last visited an amusement park. “I can’t wait! I’m going to try every single ride today.”

Chen Han stole a glance at her, his eyes filled with warmth and adoration. Their laughter and conversation filled the car, making the drive pass in the blink of an eye. And soon, they arrived.

Since it was the weekend, the amusement park was packed with people. Couples were everywhere, holding hands, taking selfies, lost in their own little worlds. Mu Fu’s gaze swept over the scene, and she couldn’t help but think—right now, she and Chen Han looked just like one of them. A couple.

The moment they entered, Chen Han darted off to buy something. When he returned, he was holding two adorable headbands. Mu Fu’s was pink, with fluffy bunny ears, while his was blue. Red and blue always made the perfect pair. And since pink was just a shade of red… they matched.

To everyone else, they looked exactly like a couple—dressed stylishly, standing out even in the crowded park.

Mu Fu gravitated toward the carousel first. After all, no amusement park visit was complete without it.

Chen Han didn’t get on the carousel. Instead, he stayed outside, camera in hand, capturing every moment. He had brought his camera just for today—because today, he was Mu Fu’s personal photographer.

After the carousel, Mu Fu dragged Chen Han straight to the haunted house. After all, haunted houses were perfect for bringing couples closer together. Mu Fu had always been easily scared. And sure enough, it only took a few steps inside before she was clutching his sleeves, visibly tense.

Chen Han couldn’t stand to watch her like that, so he simply took her hand. Then, without thinking, he pulled her into his arms. Mu Fu hid her grin—this was exactly what she wanted.

Chen Han’s scent was subtle yet distinct, a fresh, woody fragrance. She had no idea what kind of cologne he was using, but it smelled amazing. Unable to resist, she took a few extra deep breaths, savoring it.

……

Mu Fu had nearly gone on every ride in the park. She would’ve kept going if she hadn’t started feeling a little dizzy.

Chen Han, however, never showed the slightest impatience. If anything, he was incredibly patient with her. Whenever he spotted something interesting, he’d ask if she wanted to try it, and no matter what she picked, he was always up for it. He simply stayed by her side, letting her enjoy the day at her own pace.

Eventually, Chen Han led her to a restaurant—one he had booked in advance for their dinner. Under the warm glow of the lights, champagne in hand and a beautiful woman across from him… it was the perfect ending to the day.

By the time they returned to the villa, it was already past 8 PM. The others were all back as well, but it seemed like Mu Fu and Chen Han were the last to arrive.

“Where did you two go?” Ding Minqi was slouched on the couch, completely drained. She had exhausted herself today. That morning, Kang Jiadong had been thrilled to see her arrive, and since Ding Minqi was in a good mood, they had gone to play badminton together.

Kang Jiadong was a skilled badminton player. He patiently played with Ding Minqi, who was still a beginner, coaching her as they rallied. After lunch, they went to see a movie, and by evening, they had dinner before heading back. Since they had played a physically intense sport that morning, they returned early, completely exhausted.

Mu Fu, on the other hand, was beaming with excitement. “We spent the whole day at the amusement park! Then, after dinner, we came back.”

“The amusement park, huh? I wanna go next time too,” Ding Minqi said, stretching lazily. “Jiadong and I played badminton today—I’m completely wiped out. Thank god we went to a movie afterward.”

From the kitchen, Kang Jiadong—who had been pouring himself a glass of water—overheard their conversation. “Then let’s plan a trip to the amusement park next time,” he said casually.

Ding Minqi turned to look at him, and their eyes met with a knowing smile.

Meanwhile, Han Jin and Cheng Cixin weren’t in the living room. They had arrived a little earlier than Mu Fu and Chen Han and were now upstairs changing clothes.

Chen Han gave Mu Fu’s sleeve a gentle tug and asked, “Aren’t you tired?”

Mu Fu was, in fact, exhausted. She turned to Ding Minqi with a smile. “Sister Minqi, I’m gonna change first. We’ll talk later.”

“Mhm, go rest for a bit,” Ding Minqi waved her off. With that, Mu Fu headed upstairs with Chen Han.

……

As Mu Fu stepped into the walk-in closet to change, Cheng Cixin was just coming out. Cheng Cixin glanced at her curiously. “Where’d you and Chen Han go? You came back so late.”

Mu Fu was a little surprised. She hadn’t realized Cheng Cixin had only arrived slightly earlier than her. “We went to the amusement park. What about you?” Mu Fu asked in return.

Cheng Cixin replied, “We did some arts and crafts.”

That morning, when Cheng Cixin saw that the mystery gift was for Han Jin, she had felt a little disappointed—but at the same time, a tiny bit relieved. After all, if she had spent the day with Chen Han, would he have treated her the same way as before—cold and distant, barely acknowledging her? Maybe it was better to save that date for another time.

Han Jin was pleasantly surprised when he saw that Cheng Cixin had chosen him. He had suspected it might be her—but at the same time, he wasn’t sure. Still, deep down, he had been hoping it was.

However, he hadn’t texted Cheng Cixin the night before. On their first night in the house, she hadn’t texted him first, which caught him off guard. He had always assumed they were on the same page, exchanging messages equally. Turns out, he was the only one making the effort—how embarrassing. So instead, he had sent a message to Mu Fu, just to see how she would react. After all, when he first arrived, he had felt drawn to Mu Fu. If she showed interest in him too, then maybe—just maybe—he would consider shifting his attention to her.

But today had been a great day. He and Cheng Cixin had fun together, and their conversations flowed effortlessly. Wanting to impress her, Han Jin had taken her to a DIY workshop, where they worked on building miniature architectural models. He had hoped to show off his charm to the women in the house.

Cheng Cixin, however, had struggled with the project. She looked delicate and helpless, and when she turned to Han Jin for help, something stirred inside him—a strong desire to protect her.

By the end of the day, his opinion of her had completely changed. His feelings for her had grown deeper. Maybe the reason she hadn’t chosen him on the first day was simply because she didn’t know him well enough yet.

That night, during the texting session, everyone messaged their date for the day—no surprises there.

Mu Fu: [I had so much fun today.]

Chen Han: [Thanks for braving the haunted house with me, little bunny.]

“Little bunny”—that was the new nickname Chen Han had given Mu Fu that day. To him, she was just like a tiny, easily flustered rabbit—timid, shy, and quick to blush.

……

Day 4 in the Love Cabin.

It was the weekend, and everyone was relaxing inside.

As usual, Chen Han got up early to make breakfast for Mu Fu. Once he was done, he went to wake her up.

Ding Minqi had woken up earlier than the others, and since the other two were still fast asleep, she was the one who answered the door.

“What’s wrong?” Ding Minqi whispered.

“Is Mu Fu awake?” Chen Han asked, standing politely outside the room without peeking in.

“No, she’s still sleeping with Cixin. They must have been exhausted from yesterday.”

Chen Han had expected that, but skipping breakfast wasn’t an option—it wasn’t good for the stomach. “Can you wake her up for me?”

“Wait here.” Ding Minqi shut the door behind her and walked over to Mu Fu’s bed. She gently shook Mu Fu a few times. When Mu Fu finally stirred, her half-asleep, dazed expression made it clear she wasn’t fully awake yet.

“Huh?” she mumbled, confused.

Ding Minqi sighed, repeating patiently, “Chen Han is at the door looking for you. It might be something important.”

At the mention of Chen Han’s name, Mu Fu snapped awake instantly. Thinking he needed something urgent, she ran her fingers through her messy hair, smoothing it down before heading to the door.

“What’s wrong?” she asked as she peeked outside, her body still mostly hidden behind the door. She wasn’t properly dressed, so she kept the door as a shield between them. If it were anyone else, she wouldn’t have come out without freshening up first—but since it was Chen Han, she had assumed it was something urgent.

Chen Han took one look at her bare, makeup-free face. Even without any effort, she was just as beautiful as ever. But her sleepy, impatient expression made it clear she wanted him to hurry up and say whatever he needed to say—so she could go back to bed.

“I made breakfast. Eat something before you go back to sleep,” he coaxed.

“Mmm… Nooo, I’m so sleepy. I’ll eat later…” Mu Fu whined, her voice soft and playful. She couldn’t help but act spoiled around him.

Chen Han reached out instinctively, placing his right hand on her head, ruffling her hair gently. Finally, he got to touch it—and it felt just as soft as he imagined. “Be good. Skipping breakfast isn’t healthy.”

Mu Fu knew he was right, but she was just too sleepy. Under Chen Han’s serious gaze, she felt too guilty to refuse. Finally, she gave in with a small nod. But first, she needed to brush her teeth and wash her face.

By the time Mu Fu came downstairs for breakfast, quite some time had passed. Chen Han sat across from her, watching as she ate. At first, she tried to ignore it, but his intense gaze made her so uncomfortable that she instinctively leaned back.

“How about you sit over here instead? It’s kinda nerve-wracking having you stare at me like that.”

“Hm? What difference does it make if I watch from here or from next to you?”

“If you sit next to me, I won’t see you staring.” She racked her brain for a better excuse—but couldn’t come up with one. Chen Han found it adorable.

“Alright, just eat. I’ll read.”

Without his intense gaze on her, Mu Fu finally relaxed, quietly finishing her bowl of porridge. This long-overdue breakfast had been delayed for days, but she was finally having it. It was just plain white porridge, but to Mu Fu, it felt special. (Yesterday’s bento didn’t count.)

After she finished eating, Chen Han finally let her go, telling her she could go back to sleep. He even stayed behind to wash the dishes.

Such a thoughtful, reliable man. So attentive and caring. Mu Fu definitely noticed. Chen Han always looked out for her in the smallest ways, making her feel cherished. No doubt about it—this was the man she had set her heart on.

By the time Mu Fu woke up again, it was already noon. Everyone else had gotten up. Once again, she was the last one awake. But she was used to waking up whenever she wanted back home, and with nothing much to do in the house, there was no rush.

Mu Fu walked over to Chen Han’s room and knocked on the door, curious about what he was up to. No response. She checked the other guys’ room—also empty. They were probably all downstairs.

When she got to the living room, only Chen Han was there. Kang Jiadong and Ding Minqi were in the kitchen, busy preparing lunch. No sign of Han Jin or Cheng Cixin.

Mu Fu sat down next to Chen Han, filling the empty seat beside him.

“Where are the other two?”

“They went to the movies.”

That caught Mu Fu off guard. “Didn’t they just go on a date yesterday?”

Chen Han glanced at her and said in a low voice, “We’re doing the dishes later. Already told Jiadong and the others. But don’t worry, you don’t have to wash them—just help me out a little.”

Mu Fu was pleased. A girl’s hands shouldn’t be ruined by dishwashing. Besides, since Kang Jiadong and the others cooked, it was only fair for them to handle the cleanup. She leaned in slightly, peeking at the book Chen Han was reading.

“What are you reading?”

Chen Han subtly leaned back, making sure not to accidentally touch her. “A finance book.”

“Oh.” Mu Fu instantly lost interest. Finance wasn’t her thing. “Got any plans for the afternoon?” she asked, bored.

“You’re not tired anymore?”

“Nope.”

Chen Han looked at her for a moment, then casually suggested, “Let’s go see a movie too.”

“!!”

So soon?!

Mu Fu’s heart skipped a beat. She hadn’t expected the movie date stage to come this fast. The thought alone made her a little giddy. Without hesitation, she nodded enthusiastically, her radiant smile warming Chen Han’s heart.

Chen Han’s smile mirrored hers, as if her happiness had rubbed off on him. It was a gentle smile, the kind that had the power to melt away sadness. For a moment, all the worries in Mu Fu’s heart simply vanished.

After lunch, they went upstairs to change clothes, getting ready for their movie date. Once in the car, Mu Fu buckled her seatbelt and asked, “Do you have a movie in mind? I haven’t really kept up with new releases.”

Chen Han thought for a moment. “There’s a comedy that’s been getting great reviews.”

“Then let’s go with that one!”

At the movie theater, Chen Han turned to Mu Fu, his voice gentle. “Do you want a drink? How about popcorn?”

“Yes! But you decide—I’m terrible at making choices.”

Chen Han nodded, scanning the menu to find something she’d like. A moment later, he returned with their snacks. He even inserted the straw into her drink before handing it to her. Meanwhile, he held his own drink in one hand and the popcorn bucket in the other. “Let’s go in, it’s starting soon,” he said softly. Mu Fu followed him inside.

Even though the movie had been out for a while, the theater was nearly full—all thanks to its rave reviews. Since they had decided last minute, they ended up with seats near the back.

Soon, the movie began. And wow—it deserved the high ratings. The humor was on point. Mu Fu laughed non-stop, stuffing popcorn into her mouth as she enjoyed the film.

Chen Han, on the other hand, occasionally glanced at her. She was so focused on the screen, he wasn’t sure what to say. Maybe he shouldn’t have picked a comedy after all…

But toward the end of the movie, the story took an emotional turn. Mu Fu almost teared up. And just like that, Chen Han was glad he had chosen this film.

Chen Han’s heart tingled with anticipation. Feigning focus on the movie, he carefully stretched out his right hand, making sure it stayed out of the camera’s view.

His fingertips brushed against Mu Fu’s. When she didn’t pull away, he slowly wrapped his fingers around hers, eventually enclosing her entire hand in his.

Mu Fu was so caught up in the movie, she only realized what was happening when she felt his touch.

Oh right… Wasn’t the whole point of coming to the movies to hold hands? So, when Chen Han’s fingers found hers, she made no attempt to resist.

Chen Han’s gaze darkened, his emotions stirring beneath the surface. He fought hard to push them down, but his thoughts refused to settle.

Mu Fu, on the other hand, suddenly felt restless. Her eyes darted around, unable to focus on the screen anymore. And yet, neither of them let go.

Their hands remained clasped together, growing warm and slightly damp as the movie played on. It wasn’t until the credits rolled that they finally reluctantly let go.

Since the show’s rules prohibited any physical affection before the Confession Day, they had to be careful. With cameras following them constantly, they couldn’t even exchange contact information yet. So, for now, they had to hold back.

That night, they grabbed dinner outside before heading back to the shared house. By the time they arrived, it was past 9 PM—almost time for the nightly text exchange.

Just as Mu Fu was about to head upstairs, Chen Han grabbed her wrist. Without a word, he reached over and turned off her mic, then did the same to his.

Mu Fu blinked up at him, eyes soft and hazy. She was usually shy, but under the heat of Chen Han’s gaze, her lips parted slightly—almost as if she was waiting for something.

His voice was low and rough, edged with something undeniably magnetic. “After we send our texts, come to my room.” He wasn’t willing to wait until tomorrow to exchange numbers.

Tomorrow’s shoot would still cover their time inside the house, but anything outside would be off-camera. That meant they’d finally get some privacy.

Mu Fu hesitated for a brief second. But curiosity won over. She nodded.
